The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) welcomes the Government’s recent appointment of Douglas Niven as the Chair of the Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (AUASB) and as a member to the FRC.

Mr Niven has around 40 years of private and public sector experience in the field of financial reporting, accounting and auditing, including most recently leading ASIC’s financial reporting and audit programs.

This appointment continues the high level of skills and experience available to the FRC.
